I am so happy with my air conditioner especially in the heat we are having in Missouri recently. It keeps it cool in my living room and dining room . I was a little worried after reading other reviews . However , I trust GE . And I am so glad I made the decision to get it.

My apartment doesn't have central heat and air, and my upstairs feels like a sauna compared to my downstairs. So after a lot of complaining, my mom bought me this unit for my upstairs. I have absolutely no idea how to install anything like this, so I probably installed it wrong, but I read the instructions and it's working. It automatically made my upstairs feel cooler. I'm very pleased so far!

Perfect for my room and gets super cold really fast. I used to sweat when it got warm in my room and now I sleep good. My only regret is not noticing it didn't come with a remote. There's nights I want to turn it down or off and have to get up. Not the end of the world, but wish I got one with a remote

I purchased this air conditioner for my sewing room. The package arrived 2 days early just when we were having a very hot day! The unit was just as described, was not very heavy to carry and , the instructions were easy to follow..... we had the unit in the window at record time. I turned on the unit, switched it to high cool.......needless to say, my sewing room is "Sew Sew Cool!!! " No "ifs, ends or buts"......I love it!

Just what I was looking for, I have had not such great luck with two air conditioners from another company that had touch controls so I was looking for one with mechanical controls and this one met my needs. This unit is in my bedroom and it is very efficient and relatively quiet for a window unit, it cools my 12 x 15' bedroom very nicely and I am pleased.

I love my air condition. I love the fact that it has different settings to choose from. I am the type of person that gets cold fast. So the different setting allow me to select the best option that will allow me to get cool enough but not cold.

This AC unit functions very well in our bedroom. It was easy to install but did require a small piece of board under it due to our window construction. Fairly quiet also for all night operation. Has only 2 AC modes; low cool and high cool as well as 2 fan only settings. Overall we are quite satisfied.

When my son bought this 5,000 BTU window air conditioner for me, I thought it would be too small for the area we were trying to cool, which was almost 200 sq. ft., a long narrow 24" x 8" ft. room with very little insulation and all windows on one side. It turned out I was right, so we moved the unit into my 12' x 11' bedroom and it works great. I live in a mobile home in the Palm Springs area of Southern California, and we are experiencing some extreme desert temperatures right now (110 to 120 degrees), and this unit works better than my central air conditioning which cools the rest of the house.

Only problem I see is with bottom holding clips. If you loosen the screws they don't get tight, they strip right away and the clips don't reach the trim on my window so they're useless. The unit itself is nice.

From the purchase to the installation everything was simple, easy to understand instructions, all needed hardware is included.
Couldn't have been any easier to put the few things together and fit the ac into the window. Definitely a one person job.
Love the safety plug with a reset. Runs very quiet, and most importantly, cools an entire room within a few minutes and keeps temperature pretty good as well. Very impressed with this unit so far!
