Return Policy for Appliances

We are here to help from selecting the right appliances for your home to handling the unexpected if it does arise. Take advantage of our expertise before your purchase and see the appliances in person at our showroom. Even with the best of planning, at times, a return may be necessary. Policies around returns vary based on the time since purchase and delivery, whether the appliance has been installed and the reason for the return. Below, we have included more information about those policies.

Defective Products: Most of our products include a one-year parts and labor warranty. Additionally, most products are eligible to add extended warranty for additional protection. See your product literature or speak with a Modern Appliance team member for details.

If your product is defective upon arrival, notify Modern Appliance within 48 hours to discuss options for a refund or exchange in your unique situation. Modern Appliance is a servicing dealer with highly trained technicians. We will comply with the terms and conditions of the manufacturer’s warranty. Note that this often requires the opportunity to repair the unit. Replacement units are delivered at the discretion of the manufacturer within the warranty period or the extended warranty provider during the extended warranty period. Our team at Modern Appliance will guide you through the process.

Damaged Products: All of our shipments are 100% insured. Product(s) damaged during shipping or delivery are eligible for exchange at no charge to you. Upon delivery or pick up of your appliance, inspect your product for damage. If the product is damaged, you have the right to refuse the delivery. We will contact you to schedule another delivery.

Cancelled Orders: If the order has not yet been delivered and you decide to cancel for any reason, call us. Undelivered stocked items are eligible for return within 90 days of purchase. Special order appliances are eligible for 50% refund within 90 days of purchase.

The Product Does Not Meet Your Needs: We think you will love your purchase, but if it misses the mark, we do accept returns of delivered appliances with some conditions. The return must be within 15 days and is subject to approval. The return must be in like new condition and free of damage. Stocked items that were delivered and returned are subject to 25% restocking fee. Special order items are subject to 50% restocking fee. Delivery and installation charges as well as installation materials are not refundable.

The customer agrees to the terms and conditions published above when they place a completed order with our company. In addition, the customer authorizes their credit card company to abide by these terms. We reserve the right to cancel orders at any time.

Shipping Policy / Delivery Policy

Once you finalize your purchase, a team member from Modern Appliance will contact you to set up delivery. If the item is in stock, we will offer available delivery dates for your installation. If an item is not currently in stock at our local warehouse, we will provide the estimated arrival day to our warehouse. Please note these estimated arrivals are subject to change without notice. Once your items are received at our warehouse, we will call to schedule delivery to your home, based on schedule availability.

Shipping & Handling Costs

Costs for these services will be determined at the time of purchase or shipment.

Sales Tax: Sales tax will be charged in accordance with local law.
